Can only play DoD for 2-30min

Can play DoD 2-30min before my computer shuts down, but no problem in CSS or LoL

Hello

I have a problem with my DoD. I can run the game and play if for 2-30min and with out warning my computer will shut down. The same happens in DoD:S but not when I play WoW, CSS or LoL so do any of you guys have an idea of what might cause the problem?

To make it all easier to figurer out:

Can Play: CSS, WoW and LoL

Can't Play(only for a few times before the computer shuts down): DoD and DoD:S

That was all for now, and I will say thanks for all the information you guys will give me there might could help me.

    Abruptly shutting down computers usually indicates overheat, though I wonder why you can play CSS.

    Yea sounds like overheating, try playing minimized while recording your graphics card and processor temperatures in DoD:S then compare them to your other games,

    I can only play DoD:S for about 20 minutes as well -- out of boredism :D

    Jk, on a more serious note. Overheating could be the issue - but if CS:S works on the latest OB update and DoD1.3 doesn't work, then it might be something wrong with your drivers.

    WoW & LoL working is a bit past the overheating issue as well, I was having some problems not too long ago with LoL and it getting my computer up in temps. WoW can be quite stressful as well if you're surrounded by a bunch of people all actively moving about.

    I'd look into drivers first, really. Could be something that isn't just related to your GPU as well. Drivers can be quite fickle on your system.
